Dr Claire Lubotzky (Clinical Psychologist)

Claire is an experienced clinical psychologist and specialises in working with infants/perinatally, children, adolescents, and their families. Claire previously worked at Alfred Health’s Child and Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) where she supported young people, parents and families. Claire practices in a clear, open, authentic and warm manner, always using a client (family)-focused approach. Her doctoral research focused on the importance of early intervention and parent-child/carer-child relationships as the focus for supporting infants and children. Claire brings this focus to working with clients from an evidence based perspective. Claire fosters a safe and respectful therapeutic environment to support children, parents and families to feel safe and understood so as to facilitate working collaboratively with clients to move towards their goals.

Claire also has experience working with adults using multiple treatment modalities including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal therapeutic approaches and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E). She also has experience working with a wide range of clients with a variety of presentations including chronic suicidality, substance use difficulties, eating disorders, mood and anxiety presentations, neurodiversity and complex developmental trauma backgrounds.
